Three connecting summer walks exploring the landscapes of Erith and Slade Green with ornithological investigator J D Swann.
Each walk is free to attend and will explore diverse local habitats such as Crayford Marshes, Frank’s Park and the Thames Path, where we will observe birdlife and other animals whilst travelling through marshes and woodland.
All participants will receive a free notebook at the start of the walk and will be encouraged by J D Swan to document their journey.
Walk 1: 2:00pm - 4.30pm Sunday 10 July
Route: Slade Green Station - Crayford Marshes - River Darent - Erith Pier
Walk 2: 2:00pm - 4.30pm Friday 5 August
Route: Slade Green Station - River Cray
Walk 3: 2:00pm - 4.30pm Saturday 27 August
Route 3: Erith Pier - River Thames Path - Frank’s Park

*PLEASE NOTE*
- Meeting time is 1:45pm for 2:00pm start.
- Each walk is 5-6 kilometres / 3-3.5 miles and the terrain will be a mixture of grass paths and tarmac with some uneven ground, slopes and steps.
- Walks are NOT fully accessible for wheelchairs and buggies.
